Beautiful zoo with lively animals

This is the best zoo I think I've been to. It was very clean, well organized and the animals really appeared to be happy. I saw animals behaving as though they were a part of families; mothers were caring for their young, adults were playing together, grooming one another, or just snuggling. The animals approached the glass and were easy to photograph as well. I'm a teacher so I go on a lot of zoo field trips and the animals always seem to be asleep or bored, but again, not here! They appear to be just living life! The food is pretty great too! You should definitely let your children experience Barcelona Zoo if it fits in your schedule. It's very convenient to get to on the bus as well.

A bit above average

The zoo itself is good, but there were so many construction works in place, it was a bit disappointing. The food options are rather limited too, as compared to other zoos I've been, namely Amsterdam and Budapest ones. Impressive reptile and insects collection, never saw so many crocodiles in one zoo. Giraffes are adorable.

Great experience at the Zoo. Probably the best Zoo I've ever been to.
